Title: moonlight adventures
Course: advanced drawing and painting
Artist: your name Teacher: Mr. Salyers
Subject Matter: a moonlight campfire
Medium: colored pencils (didn't have water color)
Project Goal: adding texture and shades throughout
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: i liked this project but I wish i had more time to go out and get water color paints. I think this would have looked amazing with watercolor, but i'm also not disappointed with how it came out with colored pencil. This was kinda a choice watercolor project so it was fun trying to explore different concepts and ideas on what to create and how could i. (if I had watercolor).
Elements of Art - value, texture, space. value was used a lot in the moon as well as the ice/water that droops from below. texture was mainly used in the moon, I tried bringing in other colors and blending those with the grey/silver color the moon carries. space was used because i made the moon 10 times bigger than it should have been. I also used as much space below with drooping that water down a little more.
Principles of Art- emphasis and balance. emphasis was used especially in the moon, trees, and camp ground. The more you look at the came ground, the more detail and mystery you find yourself getting lost in. Same goes for the moon. Balance was used in the ice/water because I tried to even out the different amounts of blues and purples I was using.
