Title: Mood Portraits
Course:Photography
Artist: Megan Taggart
Teacher: Mrs. Gollan
Subject Matter: Digital photography
Medium: Digital photography (studio lighting)
Project Goal: The goal of this project was to simply take photos of 6 different moods and have the model portray them. Facials and props would be considered the main focus of this, having it create the mood and show the audience how they feel. Possibly making the audience feel something similar.
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: This project used color, form, space, repetition, and unity. This project actually didn't use color since it was monochromatic, but a few of my photos were monochromatic to one color (red and blue). Form was used because once again, how the model portrayed themselves and sat up. Space is used because of where the model was placed in the photo (some are far left and others are centered). Repetition was used because I feel all my moods were similar to each other so thinking of ways to express them looked like they were copying one another. Unity is expressed because every photo tells it's own story different from the others.
