Title: 2 Tone Exotic Ocean Wave
Course: Drawing and Painting
Artist: Megan Taggart
Teacher: Mr. Saylers
Subject Matter: Monochromatic Painting
Medium: Paint
Project Goal: To create a painting only using one color, including lights and darks (mixing is key!)
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: Value, color, form, balance, and rhythm was used in this project. This project was personally the most fun to me, mixing all the pain colors together. If I could redo this project I would redo the wave part because I accidently mixed the wrong pink/red at one point.
Elements of Art - Value, color, and form was used in this project. Value was used because of the 2-tone colors of pink, light and dark. Color because we chose one color to be the main part of the project. Form because the background had to start from a very light pink to the darkest form of pink.
Principles of Art- Balance and rhythm was used in this project. Balance was used because the light background and dark wave contrasts from it making it balanced out. Rhythm was used because the wave creates a movement type effect looking like it's dancing with the wind.
