PrintmakingTitle- Thorny Roses Course- 8th Grade Design Teacher- Mrs.Powers Subject Matter- I wanted to make a rose that looked like it was shining Medium- I created this project with paint and a printmaking rubber rectangle Project Goal- I was trying to accomplish making a rose that looked as if it could be thorny but also bright Elements and/or Principles of Design- Some elements in this project was color with the bright vibrant paints. Also, there was some texture because based on how the paint rolled on and dried on the paper. Some principles used in this project was movement because the colors overlapping each other makes the picture look like it's moving. Personal Review- My personal review on this project was that it was one of my favorites. I had a blast carving it and then painting it to make a print. I found out that the neon colors didn't work best with my project so I used silver, blue, and red which all popped on the black print making paper. |
