Title: a look through glass
Course: advanced photo
Artist: megan taggart
Teacher: Mrs. Gollan
Subject Matter: glass, light, water
Medium: glass, light, water
Project Goal: light angles and positioning
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: I liked this project I just wish I had gotten a little more creative with it. I did the best I could, but I really liked the photos with the water pouring out. They seem almost like the water and photo is being bent in a sense. This project gave me a good concept of where to place my lighting for studio portraits.
Elements of Art - Value, form and shape were all used. Value was used in the shadows of each photo. Form was used in how the glass was positioned and where the light bounced off from. Then shape was used in terms of the glass, how the shadow was laid out and how the water spill formed.
Principles of Art- Pattern and rhythm was used in this project. Pattern was used in ways of the light and the shadow it created. Rhythm was used in terms of how the water spilt and formed in the air-like its dancing.
