Title: Saving Grace
Course: Advanced Drawing and Painting
Artist:Megan Taggart
Teacher: Mr. Salyers
Subject Matter: A representation of who Grace Callaghan is
Medium: Construction paper and colored pencils, also nice words
Project Goal: The goal was to make a portrait of someone who is special to us, then create a "mask" photo that represents who they are
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: I thought this project was fun, it was not my best work though. I felt like i could have spent more time on texturizing her hair more, and making a better smile. As for the kind words I used under her mask, I thought it represented her well. She nice, sweet, graceful, etc.
Elements of Art - I used line, texture, and color in the project to create Grace Callaghan. Line was used when I was straining her hair, trying to give it more texture, as well as in her mask. Color was represented a lot because Graces favorite color is Pink, so I especially had to highlight that.
Principles of Art- Pattern and Variety was used in Grace as well. Pattern was obviously shown in Graces mask, as well as her. Next, variety had been used when I was trying to decide on a meaningful mask to create. I also needed to use a variety of words to make the viewer understand who Grace really is
