Title: the circle of life
Course: advanced photo
Artist: megan taggart
Teacher: Mrs. Gollan
Subject Matter: flowers
Medium: flowers and their circle of life
Project Goal: I learned how to use photos and make them tell a story
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: This project was fun and also forced me to be very creative. Due to circumstances I was in, I had to use the materials I had-and I honestly wouldn't have changed it. Flowers are my favorite things to photograph and I had that material on hand and created a beautiful story from it.
Elements of Art - Color, form and value were all used in this project. Color shows the brightness and happiness of the flowers, then as they start to die they turn brown/dark. Value was used in terms of how the photos were taken and where the flowers were placed. Form was used in terms of how I posed the flowers to create the story.
Principles of Art- variety and emphasis were used. Variety in terms of the flowers and how they looked in each photo, and emphasis was strictly used on the flowers that appeared to have been dying or unstable condition.
