Title: through the water
Course: advanced photo
Artist: your name: megan taggart
Teacher: Mrs. Gollan
Subject Matter: water, the sky, trees, reflection
Medium: water
Project Goal: to create and interesting and new perspective
Personal Review/Evaluation and Critique: this project was a lot of fun. I got inspiration from when I took a picture of a still lake upside down once. I thought it was a really cool concept and although I didn't have a lake, I worked with what I had. This project for sure takes some creativeness and thinking, but the end result was great. The only difference I would say I wish I did was use my camera, and maybe edit some of the photos.
Elements of Art - Space, value and texture were all used. Space was used in terms of the water reflection creating that upside down view leaving viewers wondering. Value was used in terms of the trees and texture because the water was still but the ground was rigid.
Principles of Art- Emphasis and movement were used here. Emphasis was used because you were not able to tell which was was up right and which way was not right. Movement was used but also wasn't. During the photos it was very windy, so to take the photo when the water was still was difficult.
