Make it Your OwnTitle- A Day in Paradise
Course- 8th Grade Art Teacher- Mrs.Powers Subject Matter- My goal was to draw similar to the magazine picture. I wanted it to look close to the picture. Medium- I used colored pencils to blend together and create a tropical like water texture. Project Goal- My goal was to try and create close to the same picture, except minus the people. Elements and Principles of Design- Some elements used in this project were form, value, shape, and color. I used form to create the form of the island's, value to show the blended colors, shape to shape the islands and give them a texture, and color to show what the picture actually looked like. The main principle used was movement because when you look at the artwork, you get moved with it! Personal Opinion- My opinion is that I liked doing this project! I think I did decent on this because it seemed to go along nicely! I liked doing it because as a child, it reminded me of when you would try and match the picture. Overall, I really loved doing this project! I had a lot of fun doing it! Some strengths I had was that I blended the water and created a cool ombre color. Some weaknesses was that I had a very hard time doing the second island. I couldn't get the colors right and it was very hard to make it look textured. Afterwards, it turned out very nice! |
