Bowling PinTitle- Edgar Degas Accomplishments
Course- 8th Grade Design Teacher- Mrs.Powers Subject Matter- For the front of the bowling pin, I was trying to draw a dancer doing arabesque. On the back, I was drawing two horses overlapping. The first one being the biggest and the second one in back being the smallest. Medium- Paint and Sharpie Project Goal- I was trying to accomplish the recreation of Edgar Degas paintings. The first being his famous horse paintings and his second being his popular painting of a dancer. Elements and/or Principles of Design- Some elements I used were line, value, space, shape and color. Some principles that I used are pattern, movement, and rhythm. I used these when I was painting. I made sure to mix colors to create an hombre effect but also add value while doing that. Personal Review- This was designs first project and I feel I could have done a lot better. I could have added more value and texture to this piece. Also, it was hard to paint because when you went to move it the paint would rub off and it didn't look good the next day. |
